The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India operates this ‘Women Scientists Scholarship Scheme’ to train women (with the background in Engineering, Science, Medicine, or related fields) in Intellectual Property Rights and their management.
The scholarship is tenable for one year.
Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) coordinates and implements this scheme via Patent Facilitating Center (PFC) on behalf of the DST.
Shortlisted candidates via national level written test are interviewed rigorously for the scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must not have passed 50 years of age as on October 31 in the year of application.
Candidates must have degree of M.Sc. or Doctorate in Science in Chemical Sciences / Physical Sciences / Life Sciences / Allied Areas; or Bachelors or Masters degree in Medicine, Veterinary Science, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, or allied areas.
Application Procedure:
Last date for the submission of applications is November 30 in the year of application.
Incomplete applications and late receipts will not be entertained and will be considered rejected.
