Indian Council of Medical Research Junior Research Fellowships
Scholarship Highlights:
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) conducts national level entrance examination to award Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) on merit basis.
These fellowships to the successful candidates will depend on their placement in a national laboratory / hospital / medical college / institution of higher learning and research as applicable.
ICMR awards 150 scholarships in total, out of which 120 fellowships would be awarded for work in the field of Biomedical Sciences with emphasis on Life Sciences. The remaining 30 scholarships are awarded to the students of Social Sciences.
Yet another 100 candidates would be considered for JRF under various research schemes of ICMR.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must not have passed 28 years of age in the year of application.
Candidates must have M.Sc. / MA or equivalent degree with the score of at least 55 percent marks in the subjects of Life Sciences and Social Sciences.
