Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) conducts JNU Combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination (CBEE) on behalf of various participating universities for admissions to their post graduate level programs, namely Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biotechnology, M. Sc. in Agriculture, Master of Veterinary Science (Biotechnology), and Master of Technology (Biotechnology).
Application Procedure
Applicants are required to apply separately for different programs being offered in participating universities. Application Forms are available from any of the participating university or can be obtained via post (by sending demand draft) from Deputy Registrar (CEEB), Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi-110067. JNU CBEE is usually held in the month of May at 51 centers across the country.
Eligibility Criteria
M.Sc. in Biotechnology requires
Bachelor’s degree with at least 55 percent marks in Biological, Veterinary, Physical, Fishery, and Agricultural Sciences, Engineering/Technology, Pharmacy; 4-years’ B.Sc. (Physician Assistant); or Bachelor of Dental Surgery / Medicine (MBBS).
M.Sc. in Agriculture Biotechnology requires
Bachelor’s degree with at least 55 percent marks or its equivalent grade point average from a recognized university in the concerned subjects.
Notes: These subjects differ as per each university’s requirements.
M. Tech in Biotechnology requires
B.Tech or B. E. with at least 60 percent marks in Chemical / Biochemical Engineering, Leather Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Biotechnology, Biomedical engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical technology, and B. Pharma. or M. Sc. in Life Sciences, Zoology, Biotechnology, Botany, Biochemistry, Genetics, Microbiology, Biophysics, and Microbial Genetics and Bioinformatics. B. Tech. / B.E. in Bioengineering, Electrochemistry and M. Sc. in Physics and Chemistry for admissions in Anna University and M. Sc. for admissions in West Bengal University of Technology.
