| The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) conducts this JEE in collaboration for admission to the first year of the 3 year Bachelor of Science Program in Hospitality and Hotel Administration. The Three-Year (Six Semesters) program equips students with all the required skills, knowledge, and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the hospitality sector. The program also involves in-depth laboratory work for students to acquire required knowledge and skills’ standards in the operational areas of Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office Operation, and House Keeping as well as providing managerial inputs in Hotel Accountancy, Food Safety and Quality, Human Resource Management, Facility Planning, Financial Management, Strategic Management, and Tourism Marketing and Tourism Management. |

| Eligibility Criteria for NCHMCT – JEE 2009 |

| Aspirants who have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with English as one of the compulsory subjects or appearing in 2009 are eligible to apply for JEE’2009. The qualifying examination could be: |

| For candidates from General, OBC and Physically Handicapped categories, upper age limit is 22 years as on 1st July, 2009, only those whose date of birth falls on or after July 01, 1987 are eligible for NCHMCT – JEE 2009. In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates upper age limit is 25 years as on 1st July, 2009, only those SC / ST candidates whose date of birth falls on or after July 01, 1984 will be eligible NCHMCT – JEE 2009. |

| At the time of admission, all qualified candidates of NCHMCT – JEE 2009 will have to submit a physical fitness certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner. |

| More than 40 percent seats are reserved for the aspirants belonging to SCs, STs, OBCs, and PH categories in hotel management institutes. |
