This article will impart you the information about Competence in Software Technology Examination (CST) conducted by C-DAC.
C-DAC along with other governing bodies such as Department of Information Technology, Scientific R&D Institution of Government of India, and Ministry of Communications and Information Technology conducts CST examination for the higher studies or recruitment in the C-DAC centers across India.
Application Procedure

There are two application forms available to apply for the CST exam:
Form A-1 is used by those examinees that are appearing for the first time in this exam and for those who are re-attempting the exam for improvement of previous CST scores.
Form A-2 is used by those examinees that are willing to take admission in the courses on the basis of their previous year CST scores. These forms may get discontinued from the next year.
These application forms are also available online at http://cst.cdacmumbai.in. As per the norms of the institute, previous year’s CST scores are valid for admission to FPGDST offered by C-DAC but are not acceptable for recruitment in the current year. However, current year CST scores are valid for admission in the same as well as the next year.
CST exam is conducted in the last week of January with the results being announced in the first week of March, followed by the interviews held in May.

Eligibility Criteria
An aspirant can attempt AIEEE only thrice, in consecutive years. For AIEEE, he should have passed 10+2 or the qualifying examination in 2008 or 2007 or should be appearing in 2009. The qualifying examination could be:
Level E – General Aptitude (GA) and Computer Concepts (CC)
Level I – General Aptitude (GA), Computer Concepts (CC), and C Programming (CP)
Level D – General Aptitude (GA), Computer Organization and Operating Systems (CO), C Programming (CP), and Data Structures and Algorithms (DS)
Level G - General Aptitude (GA), Computer Organization and Operating Systems (CO), Data Structures and Algorithms (DS) along with any 2 of the following optional subjects namely Computer Networks, Database Management, Java Technology, Object Oriented Programming and C++, Software Engineering, and Web Technology
